Daddy Daycare

The kids get to stay home from Daycare this week since Anah can't go to daycare. So, Erich is running "daycare" from the house. Here are the kids doing arts and crafts time.

I guess we have a "pole dancer" in the house. Carter decided to dance on the wall.....don't ask......
this was on Erich's watch.

My new little girl?

Carter decided he needed 'pretties' in his hair...isn't he cute? I thought the pony on top of his head looked just darling with his pretty red hair....

Thanks Aunt Judi & Uncle Steve

Anah received a special package in the mail from Kalamazoo! It was a get well present from Great Aunt Judi and Uncle Steve. It is a Beanie Baby bear dressed up with Bunny Ears. Anah loves it to pieces! She was thrilled to get mail and espcially for it to be a special present just for her. I am sure this will help to speed along the recovery process :) Thanks again Judi and Steve!

Update on Anah--Ear infection??

So everything seemed to be going well for Anah....she was eating and drinking and all. Then on Friday night she stopped and just said she didn't feel good. After dinner I picked her up and she was burning up with a temp of 103. So we called the on-call doctor and he said we should get it checked out at the hospital. So I took Anah and Carter to Urgent Care on Wilson and M6 and my mom was going to meet us there. On the way there Carter fell asleep (poor guy). I carried Carter in and he didn't even budge. He slept the whole time in my arms thru registration and triage. My mom arrived and took him back home so that he could go to sleep. After waiting at Urgent Care, which was pretty fast for Urgent Care, the doctor came in and looked in Anah's ears and she had an ear infection still in her right ear, even though she had just finished Amoxicillin and was started again on Amoxicillin after her surgery. Poor thing! So we went to the pharmacy, go her a different antibiotic and she is doing much better. Today, she kinda passed out on the couch before lunch....she still is a little tired from all of this. But, she is doing much better now that we are getting more of these issues under control. Get well Soon ANAH!

Daddy's chair

Since we didn't get to go to church today, the kids and I hung out while Erich slept. Carter loves to crawl up in the chair and make sure you know he is sitting in "Daddy's chair."

Thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lynee and Aunt Aelise

Grandma and Grandpa came over with Lynee on Thursday and gave Anah some GET WELL presents. Aunt Aelise sent a present up with them, too, for her. She got a princess purse, pencils, paper, necklace, rings, and a watch. She also received new PJ's and socks and lots of other stuff. Anah says THANK YOU! Carter had to get in on the action, too....

The day after

Anah has ate some pudding, popsicles, and mac n cheese. And of course she has drank lots of milk. She is doing very well. She is walking around in her princess shoes, playing books, and playing doctor with her dolls.

Bye Bye tonsils

Anah had her tonsils out on Feb.20. Her surgery time wasn't until 1:15pm. What a long time for a little girl to wait with no food or drink! She only asked in the car for food and drink. She was "very, very thirsty!"

Anah did pretty good waiting to have the surgery. When it came time to go back to surgery she wasn't so sure about what was going on. She was very strong-willed and would not go under very easily. I stood by her as they tried to put her to sleep so they could get an IV in her, and the anesthiologist had to double check and make sure the gas was on because it was taking so long for her to go to sleep.

We were brought into the recovery room and we waited, and waited, and waited. She did not want to wake up. She slept for quite a while and we finally got her transferred to the Outpatient center. She then slept more and at 5:15 she finally woke up. She ate a popsicle and then didn't feel so hot. So they gave her more meds and she slept again. We had to move rooms again and then I finally got her to wake up and bribed her to drink so we could get out of the hospital.

We got home and grandma and grandpa were there waiting for her. She sat on grandma's lap and ate a popsicle. She showed Carter her band-aid where her IV was. Then it was off to bed.
